5 out of 5 stars Worked right off the bat with Vista and my V-amp 2   November 8, 2008
I bought this midi cable to hook up my V-amp 2 to my new pc with the Vista OS, and I didn't even have to install any drivers for it, it worked right off the bat. My pc recognized it immediately, no problem at all. I recommend it highly for V-amp users and whoever needs one with a computer that has Vista.

5 out of 5 stars Very pleased   October 25, 2008
Ordered the X-midi 1X1 with standard shipping, and it showed up the next day! Loaded the software, and was playing music within 10 minutes. As noted elsewhere, the MIDI cables are quite thin, but the unit is smaller than other interfaces and stores easily in my laptop case. Very satisfied with the product.

5 out of 5 stars yep, worked great!   October 2, 2008
surprised to find it actually worked with an old Casiotone MT-600 keyboard from like the 80s I found at a Goodwill. using XP sp2 and an old version of ACID Pro (4.0), very easy to set up. no problems.

and looking at other reviews, some people talk about how the whole input-output thing can be confusing, but these cables are pretty standard as far as interfaces go. most cables you buy will be like this -- the cables labeled "MIDI in" actually plug into your keyboard's "out" (and vice-versa). the directions enclosed are very clear, so if you follow them, you'll be fine.
