5 out of 5 stars Best Scale Book   August 18, 2008

I have read and studied many different scale books. This one surpasses, by far, all the others. It has something for everyone from beginner to advanced. It is presented in such a way that you learn the fretboard while learning all the different patterns at the same time. Convincing students of the importance of scales is in showing them the practicality of them and this book certainly does that. If I should ever give Bass lessons this is one of the MI Press series that I intend to use. All of their books are great, with maybe a couple of minor exceptions.
