The text is scant--the history in the album cover photos is the point here. These show the King's progress from lean, lip-curling rock idol to plumper, bouffant, Las Vegas star. Dowling also includes different versions of the same cover prepared to suit the varying tastes of Elvis' worldwide audience. RCA airbrushed in minor changes to give the Mexican Elvis a slightly more Latin macho air. The book will inevitably become a feature of any decent collection of Elvis memorabilia.
