This is an excellent product for the Elementary Music Teacher, especially
teachers using the Orff Process in their teaching. While providing engaging and very doable lesson plans, this book also contains posters and flash cards to reproduce. Your students will love you for using Mallet Madness in your teaching!

I'm a first year music teacher with no formal Orff-Schulwerk background. I kept wondering how to use our mallet instruments effectively in class. Mallet Madness describes a whole mallet program with diagrams, posters, classroom management suggestions and full lesson plans with reproducible flash cards. I spent an afternoon making and laminating flash cards, and I've had weeks of lesson plans ready to go. My first graders will present a program this spring based on the Children's literature lessons and a few ideas of my own. Best of all - my students LOVE playing the instruments using these activities!

This is an excellent resource whether you are trained in Orff or not. It is very user friendly and will make your job of teaching barred instruments so much easier and effective. Your students will
love these lessons!

I bought this book at the end of the school year when I was getting tired of thinking of my own creative ideas. It was so nice that I could relax and let this book have the creative ideas for me. The kids loved the lessons in this book and they are so easy to understand and implement. I'd love more lessons!
