I am a music major, and part of required curriculum that I take two years of ear training. This book was obligatory for all four semesters and very helpful in practicing lessons learned in class. If you were to use this as a self-taught book, this is not the book to buy. This book is a bound book of aural comprehension worksheet drills for homework that should be supplemented with a real text and teacher. For a great text to learn ear training, sight singing, and complex rhythms, buy Rhythm and Pitch.

First of all, there is no "book". What you receive is an almost empty workbook (of the kind you could buy in any papershop), and a CD with a poorly designed software.
If you want some quality, buy a common, GOOD music notebook and a GOOD ear training software, like EarMaster School. This book is a waste of money. I bought it, do not make the same mistake.

This book and cd has helped me a lot with developing my ear training. I reccomend it to anyone who needs a boost.
