| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description An easy-to-use digital metronome that presents fantastic features for a great value. Use the setting dial to easily adjust the tempo and/or pitch generated note value. The volume control adds functionality to those who may need the sound to cut through other noise. The IMT-1000 comes with a black vinyl carrying case and 9v battery for operation out of the box. Color: White w/orange accents.

Buy this metronome April 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been using this metronome for six months, and I still agree with everything I wrote below. I won't be amending this review further unless the metronome develops a major problem.
This is an excellent metronome. I have looked at many metronomes. This one has the bells and whistles you find on many metronomes, i. e. various rhythms, zero to seven beats per measure. But everything is done well on this metronome. It's very easy to operate. Every metronome (except this one) with various bells and whistles has had some major drawback, most frequently insufficient volume. This metronome has an excellent volume control that ranges continuously from silence to way too loud. You choose exactly the loudness you want. It's not quite the wonderful wood click sound of traditional wind-up metronomes, but I find that I get adjusted to any sound if I can get the volume right. This metronome is actually two metronomes in one. By moving a switch, you can quickly move between two tempo, rhythm, and time signature combinations. It also has a handy pause feature which allows you to stop and start instantaneously.
Adjusting tempo is very simple, not quite as simple as the dial on the most basic metronomes. But it has a scroll wheel much like the scroll wheel on a mouse. This is much faster than the buttons on so many metronomes. The tempo range is from 30 to 250. I actually use both extremes.
The pitch range of the tone generator is amazing, all 88 notes of the piano. I'm not sure what anyone would do with that many pitches, but they're there if you want them. It seems accurate in comparison with my tuning forks.
I unhesitatingly recommend this metronome.
