I started using this metronome a few years ago as a music performance major in college. I needed something easy to use, durable, and LOUD! I now teach private lessons and this is the only portable metronome I buy or recommend. The ability to change the tempo quickly or to set it before you even turn it on is not something the digital models have. They also have that annoying chirp. This one has a nice, loud clicking. Other similar models allow two different sound settings. If you want a good metronome, give this one a try.
