4 out of 5 stars Durable, sensible and easy to use   August 13, 2008
Anyone who has performed outside knows the havoc created by the wind. Most of us have tried clothespins, homemade devices of fishing line and weights, as well as other brands of long music stand clips. After over a quarter of a century of trying one thing or another, I can safely say that I've finally found a product that is nearly adequate. These clips are more sturdy than other brands I've tried, and can clip a fairly large clump of pages or the outside of a binder fairly well. The plastic is clear enough that it doesn't distort badly. One thing could be modified. For those of us who have to make quick changes, the wooden half of the clip ends abruptly with a thick end, making fast changes risky. If you rush the process, you run the risk of damaging pages. I found that, by simply tapering the wood a bit, this problem is lessened to some degree.

Overall, I would recommend these clips.

5 out of 5 stars essential   May 4, 2008
These are essential for outdoor gigs. They look flimsy but I've been throwing them in my bags for years and never had one break.
