3 out of 5 stars Flute Review   December 6, 2007

Bought for my granddaughter based on her recommendation. However she discovered that she has to play the music at an octave higher than what is in the book. So check first before buying to make sure the songs can be played as printed in this book. Great Disney songs and works great for me on the piano. I recommend it for Disney musicians.

5 out of 5 stars Terrific Disney Songs!   July 6, 2007

This is the best Disney fake book I've ever seen. I don't know why the reviewer below said that it doesn't have chords. It most definitely does, right above the melody line. The songs haven't been transposed to C, either, so even if you don't sight read well and are slow to put it all together with a fake approach (as I am) the end result is still so much better than even the best "easy piano" versions.

If you love Disney music, this book has a great collection of wonderful, easily played, songs.

From what I hear from other people, this book is great. Unfortunately I can't read music so I just make it up as I go along. Anyway, it's my interpretation.

The vast majority of the Disney songs you know are here, along with a bunch I've never heard of. This is a real Fake Book (not an "Easy Fake"), so if you play a C instrument (most are), as long as you can read key signatures it will work well for you. Most pieces are written without chords (just individual notes), which makes them easy to read but pianists and guitarists may prefer books written with their capabilities in mind.

Another reviewer mentioned some are too low for the flute. I play an instrument with similar range and have no problems; just transpose an octave. After all, isn't music about interpretation?

A great selection of songs. Some of the films/series I hadnt heard of because we dont have them in England but the majority of them I did. I also found that some of the songs wer composed on a octave too low for me to play, on the flute, so I had to alter them myself. Over all though a good buy, great value for mone
