 fake book for "C" instruments. July 15, 2008
Music is excellent, tho some is rather simplified. Paper is crappy but there is plenty of great music from Niel Diamond to the Beetles.
Binding hard to balance on music stand. May 30, 2008
This book is about 2" thick and with the type of binding on the book, it is hard to put on a music stand. Otherwise a great book.

I purchased this book as a Christmas gift for my wife who plays piano. She is not at all pleased, indicating the writing of lyrics and notes are too small. What IS great about the book is the huge variety of great "playable/singable" songs....as advertised.
Did I get the wrong book?

Fake Book Best Christmas Present Received January 7, 2008
I bought the Fake Book to give to my 86 year old mother, a long-time organ player. She loved it and said it was her best Christmas present. It had many old songs that she remembered as well as new songs. Thanks for making her Christmas special.

I was VERY disappointed. I was searching for songs in the KEY OF C and when I found this was for "C" instruments I thought it was like for a harmonica that is tuned in C. That's not ANYWHERE in the literature on this book ... so if you are looking for songs in the Key of C ... forget this one. Damned expensive and for me, and very disappointing.
