| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Review Unlike many other Broadway shows, Stephen Schwartz's musical take on the last days of Jesus is scored for a small combo rather than orchestra, which makes this piano reduction hardly a reduction at all. From the raunchy barrelhouse swagger of "Turn Back, O Man" to the soft-shoe of "All for the Best" and the gorgeous lyricism of "Day by Day" and "All Good Gifts," this book is full of fun-to-play selections. Also included is "Beautiful City," a number written for the film. --David Horiuchi
Product Description 13 selections from one of the most popular musicals ever. Includes: All Good Gifts * Bless the Lord * By My Side * Day by Day * Prepare Ye (The Way of the Lord) * and more.

great service December 29, 2008 This was a gift. The person who received it was very happy with it.
Learned to Play All Songs September 30, 2008 A book from I learned to play all songs from Godspell, a play that I loved to see and I know all the portuguese cast that was on it.
Warning! July 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Please be warned. The item with ISBN-10 #0793566851 is arranged for easy piano. The pieces in the book have very minimalist accompaniments. These piano parts are nice for anybody wanting to sit down and play these songs at a keyboard without a lot of piano expertise, but I believe these arrangements to be less than adequate for anyone wanting to perform accompanied solos from the musical.
This is as fun and touching as it was in the '70's. December 14, 2007 What wonderful memories and such a fun way to tell the parables of Matthew. Sadly, three of the cast members have passed away now, but it was good to see them youthful and strong. This is a classic that should be shared with all generations to come! Timeless and fun!
Great music - horribly printed score October 19, 2005 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I agree with an earlier reviewer. This is one of the most mistake ridden scores I have ever come across. The compositions I love, but the printer needs to reprint this score, making a ton of corrections. I love the music, but it takes a lot of detective work to figure out what is supposed to be happening in this score. It leaves out meter changes and accidentals. It has the wrong clef at the end of ALL FOR THE BEST. It list the wrong chord changes in Prepare Ye. It leaves out the repeat vamp in Save The People. In one bar of Alas For You there are too many beats in the measure. The list is endless. I am sure this sloppy printing must drive Stephen Schwartz, the composer wild!
