A wiz of a book! October 25, 2008 This is an easy to play intermediate book with a few challenges here and there for the hobby piano player. If you love the movie this book is a lot of fun and has all the songs from the movie.
Wow you better be a soprano. September 24, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book is awesome, it has almost all the songs from the movie and then some. The only downfall is that every single one of the songs is written in a very high key. If you can't sing soprano, you shouldn't buy this book. For example, the song "Over the Rainbow" is written in E flat. The highest note is a high F. Some of the songs go up to high A flat. Even the songs that the males are supposed to sing are unbelievably high. In conclusion, if you are an alto, you probably won't be able to sing these songs without hurting your voice. If you can't sing soprano, don't buy this book!
Now Know the Words! September 29, 2000 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
Any fan of the MGM movie needs this collection of its many catchy tunes. The piano score is relatively easy, and the lyrics are overly-complete: they include introductions and entire songs, such as "Jitterbug," that ended up being cut from the film. You'll never mumble in the middle of a "Wizard" song again!
