and my dad still cals video games the "Nintendo"!!! December 6, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've been struggling with my dad when playing video games, that it's shameful. He sees them as toys for kids. So I often lock the room so he wouldn't see me play XD. I haven't showed him what technology has brought upon us the last few years and what the "Nintendo" (as he calls all video games) has developed into.
Crysis IS the revolution in terms of graphics. This game was designed for future systems. My Bro has a high end system that he bought a year after the game was releases and it still chokes during parts of the game setting some graphics to very high. And those struggles the system faces are reasonable, in fact I'm surprised at the power a 4870 can unleash.
I'll review the game in point forms (easier on the eye):
- the best graphics out there period, if you want graphics this is the top of the mountain since it's release and i predict for the next year or two.
-One system hog, if you didn't play this game and want to buy a system, wait for better PC specs, as the difference between very high and high is a big step in both performance and graphics quality. So I'd wait for the 5870X2 or the GTX380, not just for this games other games will also be available.
-do not download or play the cracked game, you can't install the performance patches (which are a very big deal) to the cracked game, and the cracked game could contain compressed video, sounds and textures that will just ruin the whole experience. Not to mention trojans and viruses (remember pirated games are illegal). Also cracked games forbid multiplayer online which rocks. This game is high technology worthy of the money you spend, if Crysis is not worthy of buying, what is?
-The game has some stealth parts in it, that is somewhat frustrating for me ( i don't like stealth in a FPS)
-This game is very different from Farcry
-Not very long, took me less than 10 hours to finish it.
-If you have a low end system or a mid system I'd wait till I get my hands on a system that will unleash this package's full potential, don't ruin the game by playing it on low or medium.
-If you have a powerful system and a powerful graphics card go ahead and buy it, you won't regret it.
tried it... December 1, 2008 you definitely need to make sure you have ALL OF THE REQUIREMENTS or it is VERY SLOW!!! other than that i liked it.
Great single player game. November 26, 2008 I still haven't played online, but it is an awesome single player game. Graphics are incredible...if you have a fast system.
Wow, just Wow November 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am the type of gamer that waits a while after things come out so the crinkles get ironed out. I got Crysis on Thursday and can't remember the last time I played a game with such crystal clear graphics. The physics engine is amazing! You can shoot trees, barrels, everything. They act like they really were shot.
I would highly recommend this game to anyone who likes a first person shooter and has some free time :-)
Amazing game, no problems at all! November 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I played this game on my PC and there are NO problems or glitches at all. The patches that they put out really help and the graphics are intense and amazing. I reccomend this shooter to anyone who enjoys intense, suspensful, and heart-pumping action! (Make sure you are 17+ unless you have a parent's permission!)
