Excellent! Easiest way to learn a lanquage! October 2, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have tried many different ways to learn Spanish, even taking classes at the local community college. Nothing seemed to work for me- unitl now. I received this as a birthday present and it is great! I highly recommend it!
Great Product September 29, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
The product is expensive and the learning process is a bit slower than anticipated; but I truly am learning the language and not merely memorizing words, etc.

I love it I can work at my own pace and review with the audio CDs
An excellent foundation for learning Spanish September 27, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I purchased Rosetta Stone in the airport after seeing it many times. I speak French and have always wanted to speak, read and write Spanish as I think it's important living in the USA. We are most certainly becoming a bilingual country and I want to be able to communicate with everyone. That said, I am very happy with my purchase. It's really quite effective and has me thinking in Spanish and I'm only going into Level 2. Of course I am supplementing my learning with a dictionary, verb book and a couple of phrase books... one using lots of slang and naughty words and expressions. The more you put into it the more you will get out. I also have been watching Spanish TV and listening to Spanish radio and talking with friends who are native speakers and it's all very helpful. This is an expensive course and I'd only recommend it if you're actually serious in learning Spanish. Buena suerte!
High Quality, Expensive, Effective -- Good Value September 23, 2008 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
I own several of the Rosetta products including this one. Foreign language acquisition does not come naturally to me and this immersion-based product is nearly perfect for me. In essence, this software helps you to learn a new language by avoiding translation and imitating the way children NATURALLY acquire grammar. Is it effective.... Yes, very much. However, it is quite expensive compared to say Pimsleur audio which is NEARLY as effective when used along with a good grammar book and inexpensive reader. If you have the money to spend, I think it's a good value. However, I don't think these products are worth it if you buy them one-by-one. If you are serious enough to buy the package of three, then I don't think you will be disappointed. You will really learn, review and begin to think in the language in no time in a relatively painless manner. While Pimsleur audio is effective, it can be more boring. I like the Rosetta Stone products that come with the audio companion for use with my iPod, especially right before I go to sleep where retention is highest. If you can afford it, the audio companions are useful, but NOT necessary to get the full experience. You can get the same content simply by repeating individual lessons as review.
