Great Mag for Gen X/Y/Z November 6, 2001 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
Wired was one of the first mags to tackle the new digital generation. And they did it with gusto: raw reviews, edgy editorials, controversial topics and great feature stories. You always uncover insights into the future... how different technologies or political situations will impact our lives. Many other magazines have tried to copy Wired, but they still have my vote as the best for Gen X/Y/Z!!
not just another computer magazine November 2, 2001 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
Wired pushes at the forefront of technology reporting. This is a thick, colorful, dense magazine. Some articles are among the best ever written, and some aren't. Wired lets their authors write really really in depth long articles when they need to. This is more of a magazine about how technology impacts society than it is a typical technology magazine. I look forward to recieving this every month because there just isn't anything like it.
If You Don't Read Wired, You Just Don't Get It October 30, 2001 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Wired is the a must read every month to understand business, technology, and the technology of business. Wired and Fast Company are the staples of new business periodicals. Amazon has a pretty good deal with the rate. The only problem I ever had with Wired was their incredibly high "off the shelf" price.
Required reading for the internet generation October 29, 2001 You know you have arrived as a publication when you've been spoofed on The Simpsons. Want to learn about the FBIs Carnivore, the hottest new PDA or get a sneak peek at the future of technolgy? Then Wired is the place to go.
Wired has set the standard for internet related publications and has even helped give voice to several important internet political organizations including the Electronic Frontier Foundation. Of course you can read Wired online, but there is just something about a real magazine with all the slick glossy ads. Very user friendly.
Bulky, eye-catching ads, but not much content October 29, 2001 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Wired always seems to have a pulse on what's happening in the "New Economy". However, I found most of the articles to be long-winded and not too insightful. The magazine has a hip image, great cutting edge ads, but I'd prefer Red Herring anyday. It seems like a lot to pay for a magazine that has so many ads.
