1 out of 5 stars Doesn't work with Yamaha PSR GX76   December 31, 2006
2 out of 2 found this review helpful

We just spent a lot of time trying to configure this MIDI device, to work with Sibelius Student Edition. Our keyboard is a Yamaha PSR-GX7. It doesn't work properly; we are trying to download newest drivers but after reading all of the reviews don't have a lot of hope it will work. We have Windows XP. I hope I can return it. Good luck if you buy this, make sure you can return it.

4 out of 5 stars Simple, Easy, Effective Midi In/Out addition   November 4, 2006

Installation was a snap, works fine with the MIDI keyboards I have,
I did not experience the lag that some people mentioned, and my keyboards were both $50 specials, since I do not use onboard sampling, etc, I use the MIDI keyboards as a controller, and this little unit did the job.

I bought one of those El-Cheapo generic ones off ebay, it arrived broken!
Even then I highly doubt it would have worked on my Mac.

I used this cable on Windows & Mac, and it worked without a hiccup.

My only gripe is, its not made out of rugged material, and for the price they could have easily slapped it in an aluminum casing. So its ok for home use, but if you take this on the road, you better bring a backup one.

1 out of 5 stars Midisport Uno + Yamaha PSR keyboard = failure   September 9, 2006

I was encouraged by a review of this product on another site which said they had resolved the Yamaha PSR keyboard problems. Silly me. I believed it.

I tried the XP drivers, the ones on the M-Audio site, and the one included on the CD and while it may work with some Yamaha PSR keyboards, none of those drivers let it work with my PSR-230. I returned it and bought a Yamaha UX16 instead.

1 out of 5 stars disappointing   September 2, 2006

I read a review that said this product wasn't tested for windows xp. However, having an xp platform, the drivers are automatically installed with no problem, so the compatibility issues shouldn't be a problem.
However, there are issues with certain midi controllers/keyboards. I am here to alert anyone trying to purchase this product that it does not work with the casio px-110. I don't know about others.
I think M-Audio should be more informative on what systems can or cannot be successfully connected to this device.

5 out of 5 stars Great Product   August 25, 2006

I bought one of these in June 2006, it arrived before I expected it to (sooner than Amazon estimated), and the product worked perfectly. I linked my Dell laptop to a Roland RD-700 and immediately began writing sheet music and utilizing a software synth like it was nobody's business.
