Must be nice to have even received it! September 2, 2007 1 out of 15 found this review helpful
I ordered this pedal on 8/5 with free 2-day delivery (bought Amazon Prime membership too!) based on everyone's reviews, for my daughter's birthday. The piano and bench arrived on time, but the pedal has still not shipped - 1 month later. I've been sent 2 or 3 extensions of delivery date estimate. The item listing still advertises that you can get this even tomorrow with overnight shipping selected. I'm tempted to do that just to see what happens. The product sounds perfect, it's the Amazon support that is far from that.
Works Great August 28, 2007 I like this pedal. It works well and stays in place as long as it is sitting on carpet.
Can't Play without a Pedal August 28, 2007 This sustain pedal is excellent. You really can't play without one. I had the one that came with my keyboard and it didn't feel right. This pedal is exactly like one that you have with an acoustic piano. I love it.
Bad Support and Sustain Does Not Appear to Record in Midi May 29, 2007 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
First the good news. The peddle works fine when one uses it with the M-Audio Keystation 49e. I use it with an Apple iMac and Logic Express or Garageband.
However, for some reason it does not appear to record the sustained notes with the sustains as midi signals which play back with the sustains; just the notes play. Obviously this changes the sound quite a bit.
So I called Tech Support to ask if there was something which could be done about this aspect of the unit's performance. Silly me. I spent 45 minutes on hold - and not to an 800 number. I never did get a tech support person to speak to and decided that my time was better spent elsewhere.
Call M-Audio on their pre-purchase support line in ADVANCE and ask them about this issue if its something which you think might be of importance to your purchase or use of the product.
Great pedal April 4, 2007 Years ago I used the flat, boxy-looking sustain pedal and had to play barefoot to really feel it under my foot. This time I decided to shell out the extra money for a pedal that would feel like I was playing my piano. I'm glad I went with this pedal because it feels great under my foot. I don't think it's so big I have to move my keyboard; maybe that's because I'm one of those people who doesn't sit super close to the keyboard. All around it works great and feels great. I'm not a perfectionist so maybe this is a simplistic review...but I am enjoying it and think it was worth the extra money.
