Must Have - MySpace Music Profit Monster October 28, 2007 MySpace Music Profit Monster is a book that anyone in the music business must have. When you want to know how to market your music online than you have to read this book because you will learn everything you need to know about getting your music marketed online plus so much more.
There is no other book that will go into as much detail or tell you where and why you should market. When you are trying to get your music online than the MySpace Music Profit Monster is a must have for your marketing toolbox. You don't want to try and market your music without it.
Complete and comprehensive work. October 28, 2007 As far as a complete and comprehensive guide to promoting your music through every possible resource, the author has hit the jackpot here. Whether just starting out in the industry or a veteran looking for new ways to market a product, this book will offer advice on every avenue through which your music can find an outlet. The book describes in detail the pros and cons of being associated with a record label, explains how to register with services like MySpace, Facebook, and Squidoo to further grow a fan base, how to blog about your music, and even article marketing strategies. Of course, it doesn't stop here, discussing how to protect your music and even taking you over the bridge and into Pod-casting and other internet radio options. While bringing out in chapter 16 how making your own decisions can be an important aspect of selling music on your own, the thought is well balanced by discussing how to work with labels in chapter 20 and the adeptness with which a record company can promote your music in chapter 3. Overall, this is an excellent publication for anyone who wants to make it in the music industry.

As a novice I was skeptical, but the book is the real deal. Not only does this book contain helpful information on getting started and staying strong, but it is written in an easy to read fashion perfect for anyone wanting to break in. I read it and love it, and plan to go back and read it again as I implement the strategies listed. Perfect choice for my need.
Excellent Book!!! October 25, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book is very enlightening and well written! Your book inspires me in so many ways, and I enjoyed reading it! You are extremely detailed and talk about the topics many of us struggle with.
There is a wealth of valuable information in your book that is pertinent for a variety of things. I found myself completely engrossed in your writing, as you answered many of the questions I have had. As a writer, I am continually looking for valuable tools that will help me to grow as a writer, and your book is an excellent source to do just that!
Finally, an informative and insightful marketing option October 25, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been looking for an informative and logical music marketing system that will appeal to online customers, and here it is! While detailed and specific it also provides information on Squidoo, Google, lens and niche creation, myspace pages, facebook and youtube from an easy to understand perspective, even if you are new to online sites.
I really like the way that that the book is organized, with each chapter building on prior information without any assumptions that the reader will already have the information. There are also an equal number of advanced and online music marketing improvement options covered which will be ideal for those that already have the basics.
This book also talks about some key elements in web design and how to develop the most attractive and appealing website to get lots of business. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to improve their online music sales, no matter what level of technical experience they may have.
